The Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) qualification awarded by PUMS is recognized worldwide and can be used to apply for a local dental license in most countries in the world. In order to do so, a dental graduate has to fulfill the destination country's national or state dental board requirements, usually involving an examination or a series of examinations and an internship period.

Over 2,000 international alumni of our programs are pursuing their professional careers in countries like the US, Canada, Norway, Germany, Sweden, Taiwan, Thailand, the UK and Ireland, and, of course, Poland.

Upon completion, successful students will receive the degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery, D.D.S. Those graduates who plan to practice dentistry in North America will have to complete two additional years of study in the United States or Canada, making it a total of seven years to obtain a license. It is a standard requirement for all graduates with a foreign degree in North America.

The following password-protected information section on pathways to selected national licensing abroad is only available to PUMS students and graduates.
