Farewell to Dr. Jan Jaroszewski
It is with great sadness that we relay information about the recent passing of our long-time lecturer, esteemed academic, scientist, and a mentor to many generations of students and young scientists, dr. Jan Jaroszewski, MD, PhD.
Valued member of our academic community, dr. Jaroszewski worked in several of PUMS basic sciences departments thorughout his career: Human Genetics, Forensic Medicine, Radiobiology & Cell Biology, and Histology & Embryology. A bright researcher who authored many prestigious national and international papers, he also co-founded the Department of Human Genetics in the Poznan chapter of the Polish Academy of Science Institute of Human Genetics in Poznan, where he worked for many years.
We will remember him as a wonderful colleague and a kind-hearted person with cheerful nature and passion for teaching and science. He always cherished his work with students and was an indusputed king of the dancefloor during any academic event that involved dancing.
Our sympathies go to his family and close ones in this difficult time.
