We are deeply saddened by the passing of long-time lecturer, esteemed academic, scientist, and a mentor to many generations of students and doctors - prof. Wojciech Służewski, MD, PhD.

Valued member of our academic community, prof. Służewski served as Head of Pediatrics Department, as well as Head of Department of Infectious Diseases and Pediatric Neurology at PUMS. He was working closely with the Student Scientific Society (STN) where he was considered an exemplary mentor.

During his career the Professor was awarded several of the highest Polish state distinctions: the Cross of Merit, the Knight's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta, and the Gold Medal of Merit in Health Service.

Funeral service will take place on Friday, September 25, 2020 at noon in the city of Śrem - church pw. NMP Wniebowziętej - fara at 9 Farna St.
