PUMS: a member of AAMC’s VSLO™ network
We are happy to inform you that PUMS has joined the AAMC Visiting Student Learning Opportunities™ (VSLO™) [formerly known as Global Health Learning Opportunities – GHLO] program and signed an appropriate agreement with the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) allowing our School to participate in this international student exchange program for elective rotations.
The VSLO™ Collaborative facilitates global mobility for final year students pursuing clinical, research, or public health electives outside their home country. Participation in this program will facilitate finding and processing elective rotation training positions abroad for students of PUMS.

Individual student’s access to VSLO™ requires that the school shares the student’s name and e-mail address with the program’s administrators.
All PUMS students participating in the program will be granted browser accounts for the on-line VSLO™ application, which will allow them to view all the available elective offers and their details.
Applicant status will be granted on individual basis to those students who request it and who fulfill the following conditions:
1) for electives administered by US institutions – USMLE Step 1 examination passed in the first sitting,
2) for electives administered outside US – CBS NBME examination passed (according to passing USMLE STEP 1 criteria).
