Meeting with alumnus Dr Tomasz Torliński

The Irish & British Student Group (IBSG) – an affiliate of the PUMS English Programs’ Student Union (EPSU), kindly invites you to an informal seminar with Dr. Tomasz Torlinski, MD, PhD, AFICM. It will take place on Monday 4th February at 18:00 in Room C of the University library. He is an alumnus of PUMS, having graduated in 1995 from the Polish medical program.
Upon graduating, Dr. Torlinski went on to complete his PhD in PUMS in the Department of Intensive Therapy and Pain Management under the late Professor Wolowicka. He has since held posts as International Instructor at Washington University, School of Medicine in St. Louis, and was an Associate Professor at Penn State University, School of Medicine in Hershey Pennsylvania. Since 2008, he has worked as a consultant in Anaesthesiology and Critical Care at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS.
Dr Torlinski will discuss life and work in the NHS as well as present fascinating, real-life cases from his field. After the talk we welcome everyone to Q&A with refreshments.
